Utterly disgraced today. Followed my UROP supervisor to his clinic. He let me try measuring blood pressure of his children patients using the sphygmomanometer and stethoscope but I can't even listen to the Kirchkoff sounds (supposed to listen for the first and the fifth)! Later on, he asked me to listen to bruits. Could hardly hear them too. What's wrong with me? Too much ear wax or simply deaf?!
Over lunch he asked me about the causes of hypertension (gave him the explanation for oedema instead) and the complications of hypertension (couldn't remember renal problems).
