Yup. About Body Worlds. I spent 5 plus hours there in the exhibition hall. Should really have gone on a weekday. The weekend crowd prohibited me from 'hogging' each body to my heart's content. Ha! Was past halfway done with viewing when my sister called me to say that my family was joining me. So eventually I stayed from 3 pm to past 8, after Jiabin and David had gone with their cell mates for dinner. Played guide to my family.
The exhibits were rather impressive like the situs inversus one and another where the skeletal system was separated from the muscles (which stood up rigidly to my awe). I liked the embryos and the sagittal/coronal sections better though. Helped me learn to appreciate CT scans and perhaps how to interpret one.
There has been talk about how costly the admission fee is. Mebbe there's truth in such a statement when applied to medical laymen but medical students, especially Year Ones, should appreciate the exhibition thoroughly and find it worth the money paid. Meanwhile, if you're not schooled in medical knowledge, it may be a good idea to grab a medical student friend for company to get your money's worth.
Had dinner at Bedok Central. Great hawker food! Ate Hokkien fried prawn noodles, herbal chicken, cold cheng teng and tapioca from the goreng pisang store. Really satiated after that.
